1. What’s your favorite thing about the program at NTUT?

My favorite thing is definitely the teachers. I’m the type of student that loves to ask questions (a bit different from most Taiwanese students). It could be because I did not study English literature for my undergrad. I ask questions especially on things I don’t know, and there’s a lot. I love and adore those professors who can and are happy and willing to provide answers. I feel lucky that I’ve met many of them at NTUT. I really enjoy my time studying there.

2. What skills have you gained during your time as an MA student?

As I mentioned before, my major wasn’t in English literature, so I basically learned everything I know now from NTUT. That includes my analyzing skills, writing skills and research skills.

3. In ten years, when you look back at your time at NTUT, what about that time will you be most grateful for?

I think I’ll be most grateful for the knowledge I gained here and the way I appreciate literature now. In addition to getting a degree, you can actually learn.

4. What have you learned from other students at NTUT?

To work hard, to extend my perspectives, and to never give up.

5. Have you appreciated particular courses that we offer? Which ones? Why?

I enjoyed all the courses I have attended. But I love the ones that we can give presentations and tell others our opinions. Students in my courses are very quiet in general, so I enjoy when I can hear what others think about things we’re working on.

6. What other aspects of the program have you appreciated?

I also appreciate courses that include other materials, such as music or movies. It’s interesting to learn how literature influences our lives.
