In addition to their own research and teaching specialized, English-major courses, faculty members of the Taipei Tech Department of English also lend their expertise in organizing and executing various university-wide English curriculum and projects that are designed to help students improve their English skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

At the center of the English language programs is the General English Curriculum, a series of English training courses that are required of all Taipei Tech undergraduate students in their freshman and sophomore years. The General English Curriculum is complemented by the English program, a set of extra-curricular activities that are designed to engage students in learning English in a pressure-free setting. Students can also use the free practice English exams to prepare for standardized English exams such as TOEIC.
