Admissions
The evening MA program admission is administered by the School of Extension Education. Our evening MA program is open to applicants who have an undergraduate degree and are currently working. Specifically, applicants need to have obtained a undergraduate degree for over a year and have been working fore over a year to be qualified to apply for the program.
Our evening MA program also admits applicants who meet the Ministry of Education Standards for Recognition of Equivalent Educational Level As Qualified for Entering University (see Article 4). Please note that Article 6 of the aforementioned Ministry of Education Standards do not apply in applying for our evening MA program.
Taipei Tech Department of English admits seventeen students for our evening MA program each year.
Procedures
Evening MA program admission is a two-phase process. Applicants should first register on the Taipei Tech Evening Graduate Program Admission website. After paying the application fee, applicants need to send in an application packet containing materials required by the department. This concludes phase one of the procedure.
A review committee composed of department faculty members will then review the application packets and select the applicants who will go on to phase two, the interview. The number of interviewees is normally two times more than the number of planned admission.
The score from the application packet review accounts for 40% of the applicant's final score and the interview 60%. Should there be a situation where two applicants have the final score, the applicant with higher interview score will be placed higher on the list.
