Kang-Po Chen (Amadeus)
Kang-Po (Amadeus) Chen is Associate Professor in English literature. He obtained his PhD at the University of Edinburgh in 2019. His research focuses on British Romanticism, especially the works of William Blake, with particular attention to sexuality, eroticism, violence, and religion (especially the relationship between the Bible and Romantic literature). He has published articles in journals such as Wenshan Review: Literature and Culture, Blake/An Illustrated Quarterly, and Romantik: Journal for the Study of Romanticisms, Concentric: Literary and Cultural Studies, Review of English and American Literature, and Tamkang Review. His current research project, funded by the National Science and Technology Council, examines the Romantic reinterpretation of the Cain-Abel narrative in the works of Blake, Lord Byron, and Samuel Taylor Coleridge.
