Andrew H.C. Chuang
Andrew received his Ph.D. in linguistics from the Graduate Institute of Linguistics at National Taiwan University. His research focuses on Cognitive Linguistics, particularly how language interacts with the human brain (mental representation and conceptualization). His interests include pragmatics, functional syntax, discourse and grammar, linguistic typology and categorization, and their applications to language teaching and acquisition. He has offered graduate courses at National Taiwan University (pragmatics and syntax) and National Taipei University of Technology (language testing and assessment). On the side, beyond all things academic, Andrew finds great joy in creating and playing classical and jazz music. He's been a gospel pianist for over 15 years.
