Jonathan Kuo

Jonathan Kuo obtained his Ph.D. degree at Department of Linguistics, University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. His primary research interest lies in morphosyntax, semantics/pragmatics, and linguistic typology. He is particularly interested in Austronesian/Formosan languages, and has published works on several issues, including causative verbs, argument structure, negation, and complementation, In this department, he teaches ESP, syntax, pragmatics, Chinese/English contrastive analysis on a regular basis, and has been helping students develop research projects from these topics.
