1. Why did you decide to come to Taipei Tech? (Or why did you decide to study in Taipei Tech’s English program?)

Taipei Tech is a prestigious university, and my senior high school teacher also recommended it to me.

2. What makes Taipei Tech different than other schools that offer an English major?

All students need to prepare their own senior project. Other schools have group senior projects or don't even require students to do a senior project. Although doing a senior project on our own is a great challenge, it can push us to think harder, to make our thinking more logical, and to help us find the way to solve problems.

3. What courses have you found the most interesting or useful? Why?

For me, the writing classes have been the most helpful. They not only enhance my writing ability but also train my logical thinking. I had never exercised my brain so hard before I took the writing classes. I can say that my brain grew up a lot. Besides, they taught me the importance of checking and revising. These two actions are crucial to writing, as well as almost everything, because they can change a common work to a perfect work.

4. What kinds of extracurricular activities have you been involved with at Taipei Tech?

I joined a club which does different kinds of volunteer work. Helping people really warms my heart and makes me smile all day long. I also joined the volleyball club. I feel pretty relaxed when playing volleyball, especially when laughing loudly with my teammates. By joining these two clubs, I’ve made some new friends from different departments, and this is definitely a wonderful thing for me!

5. What advice would you give to prospective students for our program?

Work hard; play hard. The work we need to finish in Taipei Tech is more difficult than that in any other school. However, as long as you can make it through, you will be greater than other people in the future. Besides, after you finish a particularly hard task, you will feel a sense of achievement, which everyone likes.

Aside from the school work, find some time to explore yourself. You can join a club or participate in extracurricular activities. You may find out what you love or what your potential is. If not, you can at least make a lot of new friends! Don't give up easily and enjoy each challenge. You will turn into a totally brand new person after you graduate.
