Statement of Purpose In your statement of purpose, talk about (some or all of) the following questions:

01. How will advanced study in English help you to achieve your career goals?
02. Why do you want to pursue an advanced degree in English rather than a degree in another field (for example: economics / business management / pedagogy / education)?
03. Which field of study — linguistics or culture studies — do you think will be the focus of your research thesis? How might this intended field of study help you in the future?
04. What questions / topics in your chosen field do you intend to research (and perhaps write about for your M.A. thesis)?
05. In addition to helping you pursue a career in the future, in what other ways do you think advanced study in English will be useful / valuable to you?
06. Why is NTUT one of the graduate schools that you applied to? Why do you think the program at NTUT specifically — as opposed to programs at other universities — will help you to achieve your goals?
