簡介

「英語就業關鍵力」課程 (the Career Powered By English series，簡稱為 the CPBE series) 為英文系主導，臺北科技大學教務處教學卓越計畫補助的商場英文技巧訓練課程。此課程之目的為教授商場英文技巧並強調實作，故安排老師與學生有一對一的互動教學時間，使學生除了學習專業商場英文，更能在與老師的互動中實際經歷。

為達此目標，英文系也與拿多顧問管理公司 (Lado Management Consultants Ltd.) 合作。拿多顧問管理公司成立於民國八十二年，一直以來憑著專業的英語教育訓練和諮商服務，提供臺灣 FORTUNE 500 及其他卓越工商企業體英語相關教育訓練的解決方案，協助企業提昇其對外與對內的英語溝通品質 。使用該公司英語教育訓練服務的企業包括惠普 (Hewlett-Packard)、微軟 (Microsoft)、諾基亞臺灣分公司 (Nokia Taiwan)、花旗銀行 (Citibank)，及其他企業。由於拿多所提供之職場英文訓練專業且具實用性，英文系與拿多的合作必能帶給學生最優質的商場英文技巧訓練。

「英語就業關鍵力」課程為學校課程系統外之專業訓練課程，故不提供學分數且免費參加。課程費用由臺北科技大學教務處教學卓越計畫補助。上課地點在北科校園內，且只對學生開放（註冊需有學號）。課程全程使用英文，但會有英文系學生支援擔任 TA。

模擬面試執行成果

模擬面試進行時側拍
  • 模擬面試選取機制：本課程收 42 名學生，其中挑選 20 名學生參與模擬面試。挑選機制由 1. 出席率、2. 報名順序決定。
  • 準備流程：由 Adecco 提供可進行模擬面試之時段，讓學生自行選擇適合的時段至 Adecco 進行模擬面試。挑選時段後，需與英文系系辦聯絡，並一併告知系辦人員欲申請的工作，及繳交一份履歷表與求職信。英文系系辦收齊後，一併交至 Adecco，由該公司安排人資專員進行模擬面試。
  • 時間安排：每位學生有 30 分鐘模擬面試之時間。20 分鐘為面試時間，另 10 分鐘為 Adecco 專員分析並提供建議的時間。
  • 重要成果：英文系四年級學生王心嵐與馬瑞德經由此模擬面試後，Adecco 皆主動提供業界工作機會。目前王心嵐於英商 Fresh Treks 公司中擔任經理秘書乙職。機電所碩士班張孟婷亦於課程參與回顧中寫道：
"Recently, I have a real interview for applying a job. Because of these practices from the course, when I [was interviewed], I have more confidence to [sell] myself well. Two days ago, I got a phone call, the boss called, and he told me, 'Welcome to join our company!' God! I got the wonderful job! I couldn’t express how happy I am. I just want to say thank you for million times to the CPBE series."
