🎓 [Library Notice] Mandatory Guideline on WriteAid Similarity Scanner for Graduate Students
⚠️ Mandatory Cross-Checking Requirements:
The new similarity detection system, WriteAid Similarity Scanner, from the National Central Library (NCL) is on trial until August 31, 2025. To ensure academic integrity, every graduate student who has their oral defense this semester must run the similarity report on WriteAid and complete the library review from now on.
🚀 Four-Step Instruction for WriteAid System Submission
In addition to running your regular Turnitin report, please ensure you execute the WriteAid similarity check strictly following these steps:
STEP 1. Account Setup
Register an account from our Electronic Theses & Dissertations System (ETD System) by following the "1. Account Registration" menu guide [s|2]. Once activated, you can access the "Similarity Scanner" panel.
STEP 2. Upload complete draft
Upload your draft approved by your advisor to WriteAid Scanner.
🚨 Limited to 5 runs only (NCL regulation). Don't waste attempts! [s|2]
🚨 Must upload a complete thesis including cover, abstract, contents, and references [s|2].
STEP 3. Download report
After the scanner completes the plagiarism diagnostics, download the generated PDF similarity report directly from the NCL platform [s|2].
STEP 4. Cross-upload
Upload the downloaded NCL report to the Turnitin assignment titled "Upload the report to the National Central Library's WriteAid Similarity Scanner" to finalize the library review process [s|2].
💡 Time Exception & Make-up Policy:
If you cannot complete everything prior to your oral defense due to an urgent timeline, you are permitted to run the report after your defense as a make-up. However, please remember: you must complete the report BEFORE you upload your final electronic thesis [s|2].
