The Professor's research interests include Chaucer, anger in the Middle Ages, medieval aesthetics, and modern medievalism in America and Asia. He has published essays on The Canterbury Tales, The Faerie Queene, the intersection of medievalism and modernity in Hollywood films, and Western medievalism in Japanese manga and anime.
